I think of you often you know, I often wonder what goes through that mind of yours.
If only I could be a Dad maybe I would understand,
I can't see that happening though since I'm a girl you know.
Do you think about how long it's been since you have seen an old friend?
How about having more kids? It's never to late to start again!
If I were a Dad & I were you, I would think about all the things I wanted to do.
I would start a garden or go fishing on a trip, plan a day cooking for a close friend.
I would take time out for me each day to tell myself how lucky I am to be here today.
But I am a girl far from a Dad, since your the Dad only you may understand.
Know I think of you often though, know how close you are in my thoughts.
When your taking that minute or two telling yourself how lucky you are to be you,
know that I will take that minute or two to tell you I am too..Hold your Hand
Next time I see you I am going to hold your hand, I never thought to do that with my Dad.
Your so far from me yet so close in my heart, I know because of our love we will never grow apart,
no matter how much the distance or what the future holds,
I grow dear to you, I always feel near to you , & I will always miss you when I am not there.
I am so proud to have you as my Dad, so proud to have shared all we that we have.
To me you are the most gentle man,
so next time I see you I am going to hold your hand.Without You
I never thought I would see the day, that my life would be without you,
I cannot describe the hurt inside that I am feeling without you.
Emptyness is the best I can do, A pain that seems to last forever.
A hurt inside that causes me to cry & cry just knowing I am without you.
You are my Dad though in heaven or on earth I miss you dearly & without you it hurts.
I just want to go run & hide, but you taught me better than that, you taught me to face the facts.
In life you taught me to be prepared for things to go wrong,
without you I know I can go on & without you I can be strong.
